Launch Dutch Trail

To celebrate and highlight the long history between the Netherlands and Melaka, the "Dutch Trail" has been launched in Melaka. The Dutch Trail connects the main buildings in the centre of Melaka of the Dutch epoch (1641 and 1825): the Dutch square with the Christ Church and the Stadthuys, St. Paul's Church, the Dutch graveyard, Porta de Santiago or Land's Poort, as it was named by the VOC (the Dutch East India Company), and Jalan Kota.

The Dutch Trail was inaugurated by the Executive Councillor for Tourism, Culture and Heritage of Melaka, Y.B. Datuk Abdul Rahaman Bin Abdul Karim and the Abassador of the Netherlands, H.E. Lody Embrechts. Also present at the launch of the Dutch Trail were the Mayor of Melaka, Y.B. Datuk Hj. Zaini Bin Md. Nor, and the acting General Manager of Perzim (the Melaka Museum Corporation), Hj. Khamis Bin Hj. Abas.
