The Port of Rotterdam 2008 Seminar

The Port of Rotterdam and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands will jointly organise "The Port of Rotterdam 2008 Seminar" on Tuesday, 29th January 2008 at the Sarawak Room, Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

The seminar will be a half day, followed by a lunch to give the participants the opportunity to network among themselves and with officials from the Port of Rotterdam. After the lunch, the seminar speakers and other officials from the Port of Rotterdam will avail themselves to have one-on-one meetings, upon request.

The Port of Rotterdam delegation, headed by its Chief Operating Officer Mr. Pieter Struijs, also includes invitees from the other relevant sectos.

The seminar's topics cover:
1. Today's situation in the Port of Rotterdam - Mr. Pieter Struijs, COO Port of Rotterdam
2. Rotterdam, your most innovative port - Capt. Kees Weststrate, Area Manager S.E. Asia - Port of Rotterdam
3. the Halal Project 2008 - Mr. Derk van Mackelenberg, Managing Director Eurofrigo B.V.
4. Biomass requirements from Europe in Indonesia and Malaysia - Mr. Hans Jansen UN/ECE
5. The Netherlands as your investment country - Ms. Linnie MacKenzie, Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency
6. The Shipping and Transport College Rotterdam - Mr. Ton van Essen, STC Rotterdam
