World Islamic Economic ForumFrom the 27th-29th of May 2007 the
3rd World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF): 'Global Challenges - Innovative Partnerships', will be held in Kuala Lumpur. The WIEF aims to promote business partnerships and economic cooperation among Muslim entrepreneurs and companies in the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) countries, as well as to promote understanding and dialogue between the Muslim and non-Muslim world.
Prominent Dutch participants to the WIEF are former Prime Minister Professor Ruud Lubbers; the mayor of Rotterdam, Ivo Opstelten and his wife, a judge in the Netherlands; and Ger van Tongeren, CCO Port of Rotterdam.
