On 16 and 17 November 2007 at 10pm (both days) the Yuri Honing Trio will be performing in the No Black Tie bar in Kuala Lumpur. The three musicians form one of the most successful Dutch jazz groups of today. The Yuri Honing Trio is centered around saxophone player and composer Yuri Honing, who is seen as one of the leading Dutch voices in jazz since the nineties. He has played and/or recorded with artists such as Pat Metheny, scott Colley, Paul Bley, Charlie Haden and Vince Mendoza, and also with renowned Dutch musicians such as pianist Misha Mengelberg and cellist Ernst Reijseger.

The rest of the Yuri Honing Trio consists of Tony Overwater, one of Holland's finest bass players and Joost Lijbaart, one of the best and most innovative drummer in Holland.
