C1) Visa for tourist purposes
You will need the following additional documents when applying for a visa for tourist purposes:
| 1. | Proof establishing the purpose of your trip and proof of lodging, i.e. a confirmed hotel booking

| 2. | Proof of sufficient funds to cover the cost of your intended stay. The Netherlands Embassy requires a printout of the applicant's bank statements for the last 6 months. If the applicant is working in Malaysia, the Embassy also requires the applicant's salary slips for the last 3 months.

| 3.1 | If the applicant is owrking in Malaysia, the Embassy requires an original letter from the applicant's compant confirming their employment.
|
| 3.2 | If the applicant is studying in Malaysia, the Embassy requires an original letter from the applicant's school confirming their attendance.
|
| 4. | If the applicant is a minor, please present written consent of a parent or guardian having custody of the child. The signatures on this document must be certified by a Commissioner for Oaths or a Notary Public. |
General Information
The above list is not comprehensive. Additional documents or proof may be requested in individual cases.
Please note that holders of a Schengen visa are still subject to immigration control upon first entry into a Schengen country and are therefore not guaranteed automatic entry, even is they hold a Schengen visa.
Other visas, e.g. for stays exceeding 90 days or for the purpose of taking up any professional activity, remain subject to the national legislation of the relevant country. They must therefore be applied for at the Embassy of the relevant country.
